Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, Mar Baselios Dental College celebrated National Oral Medicine and Radiology Day on 24th April by conducting an awareness talk among the public about the branch and its importance. Pamphlets educating the public about the importance of department, the different diseases treated and the various modalities of management available in the department were distributed among the patients at MBMM hospital by Mr.Babu Kaippillil, Vice president MBMM association. Principal Dr.Byju Paul Kurian addressed the gathering. A PowerPoint presentation on oral health care awareness and early diagnosis of disease was given by Dr. Beenakumary, Prof & HOD, OMR, MBDC. Demonstration of self screening of oral cavity was given by Dr.Anu Vijayan and Dr.Anju Thomas, Associate Professor, OMR dept. A dental quiz was conducted for the final year BDS students and the winners were awarded certificates and prizes.
It was indeed a day well spent with public interaction and recieved a great feedback from them.
