To mark Anti-Ragging Day/Week 2024, programs featuring a series of engaging activities were organized at Mar Baselios Dental College.The event commenced with an inaugural ceremony at 1:30 PM, where Dr. Byju Paul Kurian, Principal, addressed the attendees and outlined the institution’s anti-ragging policies in alignment with UGC and Supreme Court guidelines. Additionally, a documentary from the UGC website was screened on the LED wall, and anti-ragging awareness videos were displayed on the digital board in the reception area. These videos will be shown throughout August to maintain awareness.On August 16, 2024, Dr. Usha Narayanan, Student Counsellor, conducted a counselling session for first and second-year students, focusing on the theme “No to Ragging, Yes to Harmony.” The session was chaired by the Principal, Dr Byju Paul Kurian, felicitations were given by Dr Jayan Jacob Mathew, Vice Principal and the Vote of Thanks was given by Dr Joseph Sebastian C. The session emphasized the importance of maintaining a harmonious environment and the negative impacts of ragging.In addition, further slogan writing, poster making, and logo design competitions were held to encourage student participation and creativity.
