Mar Baselios Dental College and Mar Baselios Medical Mission Hospital, Kothamangalam are jointly providing free facial deformity correction surgeries to deserving individuals through ‘SMILE +’, the District Priority Project of Rotary International District 3201. The official inauguration ceremony was held on Monday, April 22 at Mar Baselios Dental College, Kothamangalam. Dr Sankar Vinod, Professor and HOD of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Department welcomed the gathering and gave a brief overview of the project. Principal, Dr Byju Paul Kurian gave the Principal’s address. The presidential address was delivered by Sri.Binoy Thomas Mannancheril, Secretary of MBMM Association. Mr.Mohan Thomas, Rotary District Director inaugurated the function. In his address, he explained about the various Rotary projects undertaken globally. Felicitations were rendered by Dr Roy M.George, Treasurer of MBMM Association, Dr.Vinod Kumar Jacob, Rotary Assistant Governor, and Mr.Sony Thomas, President, Rotary Club of Kothamangalam. Dr Sarah Paul proposed the vote of thanks. As part of the project, a registration camp is being conducted at Mar Baselios Dental College from April 22 to April 28, 2024 to identify deserving individuals who are in need of facial deformity correction surgery.
