PG training Curriculum

First year:

  • Basic sciences (clinical aspects)
  • Interactive case discussion sessions

  • Topic wise viva voice
  • Inter department meetings (Oral Pathology Oral Surgery Oral Medicine)
  • Orthognathic case discussions with Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial  Orthopaedics
  • Surgical training on impactions, transalveolar extraction,minor surgery
  • Assisting major cases in theatre.

Second year to final year:

8 months of peripheral postings to enhance the skills in cleft lip and palate, Plastic surgery, Surgical oncology, Anesthetologist, General medicine, General surgery, Neurosurgery, Orthopaedic surgery and ENT

  • Preoperative assessment of mandibular canal using CBCT and its relevance in post operative neurosensory assessment following BSSO set back procedure-A comparative study
  • Comparison of coronectomy and trans alveolar extraction in deeply impacted mandibular thirdmolar closely related to inferior alveolar nerve
  • Assessment of masticatory function before and after orthognathic surgery in patient with skeletal class III and mandibular prognathism
  • Comparison of immediate loading vs delayed  loading of implants planned in fresh extraction  sockets in the posterior mandible – A prospective study
